Financial Self-Sufficiency
Internal Revenue Service – Earned Income Tax Credit: The earned income tax credit or the EITC is a refundable federal income tax credit for low to moderate income working individuals and families.
The Center for Women’s Welfare: The Self–Sufficiency Standard is the primary project of the CWW. This standard determines the amount of income required for working families to meet basic needs at a minimally adequate level, taking into account family composition, ages of children, and geographic differences in costs. CWW has calculated this standard for most states and updates it regularly.
The Fiscal Policy Institute: FPI is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit research and education organization committed to improving public policies and private practices to better the economic and social conditions of all New Yorkers. Founded in 1991, FPI works to create a strong economy in which prosperity is broadly shared.

New York County Health Rankings: A Robert Wood Johnson Foundation/University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute database for all states and counties.
